National Kiteboarding League

After hosting in Sydney the successful 2015 Freestyle National Championships, we are glad to see Australian kiteboarding events taking it up to the next level with the introduction of the National Kiteboarding League for the 2015/2016 season.

The 7-round series commences in November, visiting five Australian states and Christchurch, NZ, for a 4-day event in each location, with a professional judging panel judging competitors that goes towards their series ranking. The top 3 male and female riders from each state event will be invited to the Grand Final, where the top ranking rider in both Waves and Freestyle will take out the title of Series Champion and share in a cash prize pool.

We’re excited to be part of this series of high-profile events alongside the other state associations. The NSW freestyle and wave events will be held in Sydney on January 21st-24th, locations TBC. In the lead up to these events Kiteboarding NSW will organise clinics to help riders prepare for the competitions, so stay tuned.
